Great War Huts

- A First World War Heritage Project -

As many of you will know, this summer we were planning a new series of talks called Hutted Histories in our original First World War recreation hut.

The talks were going to cover a wide range of subjects, including Zeppelins over East Anglia, Anzacs on the Western Front, 1/Suffolk 1944-45, Geology and Trench Warfare, Cavalry and many more!

The pandemic has meant we have had to cancel these plans, so we are producing a series of online talks instead for your entertainment.

Build your own Hut!

Just like everywhere else, Great War Huts have postponed all of our events for the time being.

Instead of coming to us, here is a 'Hutivity' that you can all enjoy from the comfort of your own homes! You can colour them in, leave them in black and white, just make one or make an entire Divisional Army Camp with 1,000 huts and keep yourselves busy for a week!

Please send us photographs of your Huts and Camps - we would love to see them!
